Pest Control FAQ

Q: How much does pest control cost?

A: Different pests require different types of treatment, so the price for pest control will vary. It will depend on the square footage of your home as well as the nature of the issue.

Q: Is the treatment harmful to children/pets?

A: You may want to keep very small children and pets off the floor for the first couple of hours after treatment. Aside from that, pest control products are completely safe and keep your kids safe from harmful bugs and insects.

Q: Do I need to plan on leaving while my house is being treated?

A: For most regular services, you don't need to worry about leaving the house. Your pest control company will let you know if there are special circumstances.

Q: How long will the pest control service take?

A: Normally plan on giving your pest control company 1-2 hours to thoroughly inspect and treat your home inside and outside.

Q: How many services will I need?

A: Pest control companies normally service your home on a monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly basis. How frequently your house needs service will depend on the type of pests you're dealing with and how severe the issue is. For most, quarterly or bi-monthly check ups are enough to maintain a nice, pest-free environment.

Q: Should I continue my pest control service through the winter?

A: Even though you don't see as many bugs when it's cold, the winter months are when many bugs will hide out in your house and lay eggs that will hatch and take over come summer. Regular pest control maintenance all year is the best way to prevent problems that can be more difficult and costly to treat.

Q: What if I have a pest problem in between services? Do I just have to wait for the next treatment?

A: If you are maintaining regular pest control service, your house should be guaranteed year-round. That means that if you notice a problem between scheduled treatments, your company will take care of it free of charge.
